The POLOLU-2808 is a high-performance motor driver carrier and breakout board that is used to interface between microcontrollers and high-power brushed DC motors. It is capable of delivering up to 5.5A continuously (9A peak) to each motor on an interleaved 2 A-phase circuit, and the board includes reverse-voltage protection for the motors. The board is designed so that two modules can be daisy-chained to control up to four separate motors on one bus, or it can be used as a single module when controlling one or two motors. It features a high-precision current sensing system that offers protection against stall and over-current conditions, as well as adjustable current limit settings for each motor. The board also features built-in support for the popular Pololu Qik2s9v1 motor driver.
